The Challenge.
With a wealth of knowledge and a lot of ideas, Darlene was looking for a custom web app that could incorporate every tool and resource she imagined. It needed to be versatile, customizable, and handle B2B and B2C user flows.

Our Strategy.
After engaging in discovery with the client, Troon developed a custom mobile application with a robust multi-tenant web admin panel that included a deep education section segmented by disease states, personalized custom content (tips, notifications, recipes etc.), detailed food and symptom tracking functionality, and extensive food database with micro-nutrient breakdown and measurements that met the need for both businesses and consumers. To effectively bring together all these requirements, Troon leveraged the flexible infrastructure of Yii 2.0 framework, complimented by Vue.js, Swift, PHP, JavaScript, and a MYSQL (SQLite for the mobile app) database. Troon also implemented a stripe payment system for subscriptions.

Since its launch, MyHealthyGut has become a hit “dietitian-in-your-pocket,” averaging 4.7 stars on the Apple App Store, while fostering a healthier gut and lifestyle for users. Customers and healthcare practitioners alike love the ability to daily journal, track symptoms, access advice, meal plans and recipes, and get alerts and real-time answers to FAQs.
We had a lot of dreams for our web app “MyHealthyGut”—but we didn’t know if any of them were possible until we started working with Troon. The app and administration panel they developed exceeded our expectations and stayed within our budget.
