The Challenge.
Every high-end, popular or celebrity studded restaurant has a seemingly endless waitlist to get in. Countless phone calls, leveraging contacts, pulling strings – the frenzy over securing a table is real.
Imagine, never having to worry about reserving a table at your favorite restaurant again. What if you could ‘own’ it instead allowing you to skip the reservation queue for a certain time! Plus, you’re always in control with the flexibility to sell your reservation on the secondary market and even gain a considerable return on your investment.
ResrvIT envisioned a marketplace that seamlessly enables restaurants to offer ‘the season ticket holder experience’ for their patrons.

Navigating the complex world of blockchain technology and NFTs was crucial to bring this vision to life. A comprehensive web portal and a mobile application needed to be developed, allowing restaurants to showcase and administer their NFT tables and bespoke offerings. Essential features such as a no-show fee policy, QR code verification for secure reservation confirmations, a fair revenue-sharing model, and an integrated off-chain and on-chain payment system needed to be meticulously incorporated.
Our Strategy.
Through discussions and workshops we were able to highlight pain points with existing systems and map out user flows that focused on utility, performance and user experience. We worked with the ResrvIT team to understand their objectives and conduct rapid prototyping that would ensure continuous feedback and on time delivery.
Design System.
Building a design system in Figma was an important part of the process to hand over the project to the ResrvIT team and work efficiently in different time zones. The components helped engineers to correctly implement the interface requirements and minimize development efforts.

ResrvIT’s introduction of a custodial NFT marketplace represents a transformative solution for the restaurant industry, tackling the traditional hassles of reservation management head-on.
